Mode of Address: The way in which the media "speaks to the audience"
- point of view (1st, 3rd, person)
- Directness
- Formal/Informal
- Alliteration:A literary device identified by the reaped sound of the first consonant in a series of multiple words, or the repetition of the same sounds.
- Rule of three/power of three: Suggests that things that come in threes are essentially funnier, more satisfying, or more effective than other other numbers of things.
- Colloquial language: Informal language commonly employed in conversation. SLANG
- Monosyllabic: Using on syllable words - sharp and snappy
- Personal pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they me , him, her, us, and them. A set that shows contrasts of person, gender, number and case.
- Abbreviation: A shortened form of a word of phrase. it consists of a group of letters taken from the word or phrase.
- Rhetorical questions: A rhetorical, question is a question that you ask without expecting an answer/has an obvious answer.
- Exclamation Mark: You can use an exclamation mark to display a strong or urgent feeling.
- Repetition: The repetition of words, phrases and ideas can be used to reinforce and argument and drive home the message to a reader.
- Similarity of sound between words or the endings of words, especially when these are used at the ends of lines.
