Scenario
You have been asked by a large company to produce a 30 second long television advertisement for their new product. You are responsible for all pre and post production work. You must first plan and pitch your idea for the advertisement to the client. On their approval you must then organise your crew effectively to produce a high quality product. You must also record the process in the form of an online production blog. This blog must be designed to demonstrate the process young film makers must go through to be successful in the advertising industry.
Task:
In a group with a maximum of 4 people, our task is to:
- Write a proposal once the group has decided on a product they want to advertise.
A proposal also outlines the following:
- What the product is
- Which market it fits into (this can be food, entertainment, etc)
- What its USP is (Unique Selling Point).
Plan:
- In my group, we all agreed on advertising a fashion product for the popular London Fashion Week (LFW).
- We decided that our target audience would appeal towards late teenagers/young adults.
- As a group we came up with the name "Elite" for the "Elite Spring Collection" as we felt that advertising clothes for Spring would be suitable for this time of the year (as we are soon approaching Spring).
- As an idea, we decided that we should colour our hair slightly red as a depiction of a red flame. This demonstrates the fierce attitude we wish to express.
- Our slogan "Be Elite" represents a select group that is superior in terms of ability, or qualities to the rest of society. This was chosen because we believe our Spring collection will definitely outshine others.
